On Monday, April 8, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. The most important issue discussed was Kharkiv.

In particular, they talked about protecting the city from Russian attacks and the possibility of strengthening our air defense and electronic warfare in the Kharkiv region. The head of state announced this in his Telegram channel.

“Held Headquarters. The main issue is Kharkiv, protecting the city from Russian attacks and the opportunity to strengthen our air defence and electronic warfare in the Kharkiv region,” the message says.

Also during the meeting, military reports were heard on the physical protection of energy facilities and effectiveness in shooting down drones and missiles.

The President noted that our diplomats will receive separate tasks with the aim of collaborating with partners to obtain new air defense systems for Ukraine.

“I am grateful to everyone who, at the central level and in Kharkiv itself, in the Kharkiv region, is working as actively as possible to restore people’s opportunity to live normally,” Zelenskyy emphasized.

In addition, during the Headquarters, Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi provided information about the situation in the main combat axes.

“We are holding our positions. The main thing now is effective logistics. Intelligence and special services are working on new steps to reduce Russia’s war potential,” the president concluded.

It is worth noting that Zelenskyy, against the backdrop of constant Russian shelling of Kharkiv, said that the authorities are doing everything to strengthen the defense of the city. Partners can help the country with air defence.
