The enemy is focused on the task of dislodging the Ukrainian military from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro.

The situation in the south of Ukraine remains quite difficult due to the constant assaults by Russian invaders on the positions of the defence forces. The head of the joint press center of the Operational Command "South" Natalya Humenyuk spoke about this during the telethon.

She stated that the enemy is focused on the task of dislodging the Ukrainian military from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro.

“The enemy continues to storm our positions, tries to dislodge our units from the left bank bridgehead, puts pressure on the Robotyno direction, continues its pressure on the Staromayorsk direction, but does not use armored vehicles,” GuHumenyukmenyuk said.

She noted that in the Zaporoizhzhya segment of the front the enemy uses aviation, and in the Kherson direction, on the left bank bridgehead, the main emphasis is on the use of artillery, mortars and drones.

Humenyuk said that the situation behind the assaults remains constant. In recent days, the occupiers have been pressing in the traditional way, since the tactics of large numbers of small groups have not justified themselves.

She stated that the situation on the left bank has remained without significant changes since September 2023.

“There were actually no changes in positions, because the clashes take place in an area where it is impossible to clearly record them. That is, we have specific positions, we are further working to expand the bridgehead, but the enemy continues to put pressure, trying to knock us out of those positions, because he understands that they allow us to further explore and study the potential of our advance, however, as a result of these assaults, the enemy has losses and is now focused on the formation of new assault units, so this kind of “Groundhog Day” happens to them practically every day: launching assaults, losses, the formation of new divisions - and again in a circle,” the speaker noted.

In addition, Humenyuk stated that the enemy cannot achieve its goals in the Odesa region due to the effective work of the air defense forces. At the same time, the Russians continue to conduct reconnaissance work with drones in order to correct strikes.
