In Ukraine, they will try to do everything to ensure that consumers have access to light regularly. In the event of a negative situation, the distribution of electricity will be fair, said Deputy Energy Minister Svitlana Hrinchuk.
Ukraine may face blackouts if attacks by the Russian Armed Forces on energy facilities continue. Deputy Minister of Energy Svitlana Hrinchuk announced this on Radio Liberty.
She noted that it is now difficult to predict the future situation with power supply, because the enemy attacks massively every day or every few days, which causes additional damage.
“Of course, if they (the attacks - Ed.) continue, then we could really face restrictions. We will try, even if it has to be done, to ensure that consumers have access to electricity regularly,” said Svitlana Hrinchuk.
According to her, the shutdown schedules were prepared before the start of the heating season. However, she noted that the situation may be different, but in the case of a negative one, the distribution of electricity will be fair so that consumers still have electricity.
Hrinchuk said that before saying whether there will be a power limitation, it is necessary to assess the condition of the equipment, what can be quickly restored and put into operation.
