The Save Ukraine organization returned six children and their families from Russian occupation.

This was reported on Wednesday, April 17, by the head of the Kherson RMA Oleksandr Prokudin and the Save Ukraine press service.

According to the head of the RMA, two families were returned from the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson region. One family is raising two boys deprived of parental care - they are 12 and 16 years old.

“A family with a three-year-old girl was also evacuated to Ukrainian-controlled territory,” said Oleksandr Prokudin.

According to the press service of the charitable organization, families under occupation were forced to take Russian passports and were not allowed to travel without them, even through checkpoints. In addition, children in the temporarily occupied territories were forced to send to Russian schools.

Save Ukraine reported that a total of 290 children have been returned to the controlled territories since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
