In particular, the enemy suffered significant losses near Lyptsi and switched to active defence, while intense fighting continues in the area of Ivanivske and on the outskirts of Chasiv Yar.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi informed about the situation in Kharkiv region and where the fiercest fighting is taking place. He posted this on his Telegram channel, noting that he continues his work in parts of the Eastern Front.
"After the first minor successes in offensive battles in Kharkiv region, the enemy is completely tied up in street battles for Vovchansk and suffered very high losses in assault units. The enemy is currently moving reserves from different directions in an attempt to support active assault operations, but to no avail," emphasised Syryskyi.
In the vicinity of Lyptsi, the enemy also suffered significant losses, switched to active defence, and is conducting mining and fire attacks on the positions of our troops.
"In the Kupyansk sector, fighting continues in the forest north of the town. The situation is complicated in the vicinity of Kyslivka where the enemy is trying to break through our defences and reach the Oskil river," said the Commander-in-Chief.
In addition, intense combat actions continue in the area of Ivanivske and on the outskirts of Chasiv Yar. The Russian occupants are trying to hold on to the town at any cost, using the latest T-90M, BMP-3, BMD-4, which are usually destroyed by our anti-tank weapons and FPV drones during the advance.
"The most intense and fierce fighting continues in the Pokrovske and Kurakhove sectors. The enemy is trying to break through the defences of our troops in a narrow section of the frontline between Staromykhailivka and Berdychi using offensive and assault actions of the most trained units," noted Syrskyi.
He also said that offensive actions are carried out both with the use of armoured vehicles and on foot, often on motorcycles and buggies.
"Other areas are also restless, but the number and intensity of hostilities is much lower," said the commander-in-chief.
Syrskyi noted that the key goal of his work is to study the situation on the ground, resolve problematic issues, provide additional ammunition, drones, electronic warfare equipment and other types of logistics, strengthen reserves, etc.
"I would like to note the effective work of most commanders and staffs in organising combat operations, engaging the enemy, and maintaining interaction with neighbouring units. Of course, there are problems that require quick and radical solutions," he stressed.
The Commander-in-Chief also said that he had recognised the best and presented awards to soldiers, sergeants and junior officers who bravely defend our positions and perform the main combat work.
