
The Russian occupation army continues to attack in the south and east of Ukraine in an attempt to improve the tactical situation and break through the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kharkiv region.
This is stated in the construction of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for May 24 as of 19.30.
Since the beginning of the day, the number of military clashes at the front has increased to 77. However, Ukrainian troops are taking measures to hold positions, carry out counterattacks and destroy the enemy.
During the day, the air forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces hit 16 areas where Russian occupiers were concentrated. Missiles and artillery of the Defence Forces hit a personnel concentration area, two infrastructure facilities and carried out remote mining in one area.
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy tried 12 times to dislodge our units from their positions. Three assaults continue. The situation in the Vovchansk region is tense, but controllable, the General Staff noted.
“The Russian army today unleashed aerial terror on this populated area: a total of eight guided air bombs have already flown into the city. The enemy hit the White Well area with two more CABs, and carried out one airstrike on Malaya Danilivka,” the Ukrainian Armed Forces command said.
In the Kupyansk direction, six military clashes continue, up from 18 since the beginning of the day.
One battle is currently taking place in the Kramatorsk direction. In total, 12 military clashes took place here today.
The losses of the Russian invaders in the Kramatorsk direction since the beginning of the day are: in manpower - 25 people killed and wounded, in weapons and military equipment - six units. One car of the occupiers was destroyed, a gun, a ground control station for drones, two cars and one piece of special equipment were hit.
There have been 14 combat engagements in the Pokrovsk sector so far. The enemy, supported by aviation, is trying to direct its main assault efforts in the area of Novooleksandrivka and Novoselivka Persha. The situation is under control of our troops.

“In other areas, the situation has not undergone significant changes,” the General Staff added and called for faith in the Defence Forces.
