From May 17, 2024 in Poland, special stickers must be affixed to vehicles equipped with LPG in certain places. This requirement also applies to Ukrainian drivers of cars with LPG that drive on Polish roads, reports Avtotema .

Not only Ukrainian drivers install gas equipment on their cars to save money. The Poles also want to save money. In 2022, 52,143 cars with LPG were registered in Poland, and in 2023 – 51,086 cars running on autogas. That is, in Poland autogas is even more popular than in our country.

In Poland, on May 17, 2024, a new Law on access systems for vehicles and their equipment came into force. According to it, organizations installing gas equipment must place a special information plate (in the form of a sticker) on vehicles.

In particular, this sticker should be placed, for example, in the engine compartment. The shape and size of the sticker are determined by regulations. Sticker format – A4. It must contain the gas equipment certificate number, the name of the organization installing the gas equipment, as well as the person installing the equipment.

If gas equipment was installed before May 17, 2024, then a sticker is not needed. It is required only for vehicles that were converted to autogas after May 17. Without such a sticker, the car will not pass the technical examination.

Meanwhile, in Ukraine, autogas now costs an average of 26.72 UAH per liter. The cheapest place to refuel a car with LPG is in the Transcarpathian, Vinnytsia and Kyiv regions. There, autogas costs on average 26.13, 26.15 and 26.16 UAH/l, respectively. In some gas station networks, autogas costs even less than 24 UAH per liter. Thus, the Avantage 7 network sells autogas for 24.75 UAH per liter, the RLS network for 24.90 UAH per liter, and the Chipo network for 24.91 UAH per liter.

July 1, 2024 The Cabinet of Ministers plans to increase excise taxes on fuel if the corresponding bill is supported by people’s deputies of the Verkhovna Rada. An expert at the analytical agency NefteRynok, Oleksandr Sirenko, believes that because of this, autogas will immediately rise in price by 5.8 UAH per liter. That is, fuel for a car with LPG in the summer will cost 33 UAH per liter.
