The Russians attacked Ukraine this night with 14 "Shaheds"
On the night of May 29, the defenders of the skies of Ukraine shot down almost all enemy attack drones of the Shahed type, which the Russian occupiers used for another air attack.
This was reported on the Telegram of the Commander of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk.
He noted that in total that night the enemy launched 14 kamikaze drones "Shahed-131/136" across Ukraine, and the launches were carried out from the Russian Primorsko-Akhtarsk region.
According to the general, the following were involved in repelling the enemy air attack:
- fighter aircraft,
- anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force,
- mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces,
- electronic warfare units
Enemy attack UAVs were eliminated within three areas.
“As a result of anti-aircraft combat, 13 Shaheds were shot down in the Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad and Rivne regions,” said Oleshchuk.
