The Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed a record number of Russian soldiers and artillery in May
The Ukrainian military destroyed 1,160 Russian artillery systems in May. This is a record amount of artillery that Russia lost in a month.
This was reported by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine .
“In May, 1,160 Russian artillery systems were destroyed. These are the largest artillery losses in two years of war. And Ukrainian soldiers continue to turn Russian weapons into scrap metal,” the Ministry of Defence said in a publication on its Twitter page.
Also in May, the Russian army lost 38,940 of its soldiers in the war against Ukraine. This is the largest monthly loss of the occupiers since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
In addition, in May the Russian army lost 9 fighters and 860 armored personnel carriers.
