We are reducing the staff of the General Staff and taking away its non-essential functions, - Syrskyi

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that the staffing structure of the General Staff units is being optimised, which allows for stronger command and control in the combat areas.

This is stated in the message of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces , which quotes Syrskyi.

The Commander-in-Chief said that as part of the implementation of the strategy for the development of types and individual branches of the military until 2035, military command structures will be improved.

“The optimization of the staffing structure of the General Staff units continues. In particular, their numbers are being reduced and unusual functions are being eliminated. Thanks to this, the military command and control bodies that command troops in combat areas have already been strengthened.”
