The Armed Forces of Ukraine are already using 110 types of equipment from 20 countries

Since the beginning of March 2022, more than 110 models of Ukrainian and foreign-made automotive equipment have been approved for use in the Armed Forces.

This was reported to the Ministry of Defence .

In particular, 60 of them have been put into service over the past five months.

According to the department, the range of vehicle categories is quite diverse and includes armored vehicles, SUVs, trucks, motorcycles and special vehicles.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ fleet currently has equipment produced in more than 20 countries, including the USA, Germany, Sweden, Great Britain, Italy and others.

Popular military SUV models produced by Japanese and European automakers, as well as the world’s largest American tractor-transporter for off-road transportation of tanks, self-propelled artillery units and other heavy armored vehicles, have been officially approved for operation.

In addition to armored and heavy equipment, the Ukrainian military received ATVs, hexacycles and buggies. More than a third of the 110 codified samples of automotive equipment are Ukrainian designed and produced. These include special vehicles, armored vehicles, regular trucks, all-terrain vehicles and domestically produced electric motorcycles.

Codification and approval of a sample of weapons and military equipment of domestic production for operation with the assignment of a NATO nomenclature number to it allows it to be purchased from the state budget for units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. Updating and replenishing the vehicle fleet of the Armed Forces of Ukraine ensures an increase in the mobility and combat effectiveness of the Ukrainian military, which is critically important in the conditions current situation."
