SSU detained daughter of ex-mayor of Poltava: worked for Putin’s party’s election headquarters

The Security Service of Ukraine announced the detention of the 36-year-old daughter of the former mayor of Poltava, who collaborated with the Russian Federation during the Russian elections in 2022 and 2023. Her father is currently convicted of corruption.

This was reported by the press services of the SSU and the OPG .

According to investigators, the defendant owns an advertising agency in St. Petersburg that participated in the PR campaign of the pro-Putin United Russia party. In the run-up to voting day, her company installed hundreds of advertising stands and billboards to spread pro-Kremlin propaganda.

Living in Kyiv, the woman remotely managed an advertising business in Russia. Only for cooperation with the election headquarters of the Kremlin party, she received a profit of more than 35 million rubles.

During searches at the place of residence and in the Kyiv offices of the defendant, law enforcement officers found computer equipment, mobile phones and financial statements on cooperation with the Russian Federation.

Security Service investigators informed the woman of suspicion under Part 6 of Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – collaboration activities.

In addition, all of the defendant’s property, totaling more than UAH 270 million, has been seized. Among the blocked assets, in particular, are three apartments in Kyiv, a minivan and shares in the authorized capitals of two Ukrainian companies.

The woman is now in custody. She could face up to 12 years in prison.
