Estonia announced a new aid package for Ukraine

On Tuesday, June 11, Estonia announced a new military aid package for Ukraine. It included Mistral man-portable anti-aircraft missile systems and associated ammunition.

This is stated in a press release published on the website of the Estonian Ministry of Defence. The head of the country’s defence department, Hanno Pevkura, noted that Ukraine immediately needs air defense to repel air attacks from the Russian Federation, and Estonia is ready to contribute to this together with its allies.

“We have structured the assistance package in such a way that Ukraine will benefit as much as possible without compromising the combat readiness of the Estonian Defence Forces, and the necessary supplies will be resumed as soon as possible,” he said.

However, the exact number of Mistral MANPADS that Estonia will provide to Ukraine has not been disclosed for security reasons.
