The UK is providing a funding package of up to £242 million (approximately $309 million) for Ukraine’s immediate humanitarian, energy and stabilization needs.

The UK government reports this.

The aid will be announced at the G7 summit in Italy, which will be held June 13-15, by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

His priority at the summit will be to work with partners to agree on a way to use frozen Russian assets to support Ukraine.

"UK and G7 leaders have made it clear that Russia must pay for the damage it causes to Ukraine. We will explore all legitimate options for using immobilized Russian assets to support Ukraine," the statement said.

According to Britain, the value of assets located in G7 jurisdictions is $285 billion.
