As the head of the RMA noted, Russian troops attacked the Burshtyn thermal power plant 12 times with missiles.

“For a certain period of time, we understand that the Burshtyn thermal power plant cannot be restored; it is very badly destroyed,” Onischuk said.

She also added that for the heating season in the city of Burshtyn, six boiler houses of different capacities will be built to provide social facilities and the population.

The chairman of the Burshtyn community, Vasyl Andriyeshyn, in an interview with the local publication Galka, said that the Burshtynska thermal power plant received significant damage due to enemy shelling. According to him, last year there were two powerful “flights” that damaged the roof of the building, and this year there were more than 10 such “flights”.

“Last year we carried out restoration work for six months, but now the roof of the Burshtynska thermal power plant is virtually gone. And I doubt that the thermal power plant will work in winter, because the roof and walls cannot be restored... If there are frosts, then everything will freeze. Last year, when it was minus ten, we heated the equipment using torches, but then only half of the roof was destroyed,” he said.
