F-16 will be in Ukraine until the end of July, - People’s Deputy

Ukraine will soon receive the first F-16 aircraft. It is possible that they will be seen before the end of the month.

People’s Deputy, member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security Vadym Ivchenko spoke about this in a comment to the Times of Ukraine . According to him, the Ukrainians will definitely know their arrival.

At the same time, the people’s deputy added that it is not yet clear whether these aircraft will be able to carry out combat missions and operations in Ukraine. He emphasized that knowing the dependence of these aircraft on detection radars and the presence of long-range missiles, the F-16s will perform the task of protecting the Ukrainian sky from Russian ballistic missiles.

“To reconquer territories, it will be necessary to look at the configuration that has already arrived in Ukraine,” Ivchenko said.

At the same time, the parliamentarian added that they will also not participate in strikes on Russian territory, and also emphasized that this is not about the permissions of the allies, but whether missiles capable of this will be transferred.

“Each plane can use certain types of missiles. These missiles fly at a certain distance - some fly 300, some fly 150, and some only 70 kilometers. At 70 kilometers, any air defence can shoot down an airplane,” - Ivchenko emphasized.
