Defence forces seized the tactical initiative in the Kharkiv region - military

Yuriy Fedorenko, commander of the Achilles attack drone battalion of the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said that the Ukrainian Defence Forces have the tactical initiative in the fighting in Kharkiv region. In his opinion, our defenders have prospects to develop tactical success.

The military man shared his thoughts on the air of Espreso . According to him, the invaders regularly carry out strike and assault operations in the region, trying to return the deoccupied territories under their control. To do this, the Russians are using all available weapons: attack drones, artillery and aviation.

Fedorenko emphasized that the occupiers are quite consciously attacking with CABs both military positions and civilian objects in the Kharkiv region, in particular in border settlements.

At the same time, the battalion commander expressed his conviction that the issue of enemy aviation would soon be resolved, and the Defence Forces would be able to develop tactical success.

“We were recently given permission to use high-precision weapons on the territory of the Russian Federation. This made significant changes to the enemy’s plans and actions. As a result, the occupiers are forced to move their forces and assets a little further from the state border of Ukraine. However, one way or another we get them and there,” the soldier explained.

According to him, the logistics support of the invaders for an attack across the Ukrainian border has become longer, and therefore more vulnerable.

“Accordingly, there is every prospect of not just saying that the Defence Forces have seized the tactical initiative in the Kharkiv region, but they can have tactical success on the battlefield,” he added.
