Ukrainian Armed Forces spoke about the situation in Toretsk

The Ukrainian Defence Forces control the situation in the area of the city of Toretsk, Donetsk region, fighting continues there, while the Russian occupiers have no territorial successes.

This was reported by the spokesman for the Khortytsia operational and strategic grouping of troops Nazar Voloshyn in a commentary to Interfax-Ukraine

"The situation around the town of Toretsk is such that the Defence Forces are in control of the situation. It should be noted and emphasised that as of this moment, the enemy has not had any territorial successes, there is no enemy Russian army in the city."

Voloshyn stressed that the enemy is trying to put pressure in this area, and fighting continues in this section of the frontline.

"Active hostilities continue every day. Combat actions with the enemy are taking place on the outskirts of the city," said the spokesman.

According to Voloshyn, the occupation army is trying to capture the city, regardless of the losses of its personnel and equipment. The enemy is looking for weaknesses in the Ukrainian defence, sending mobilised and former prisoners to attack.

"There are also Storm Z and Storm V units, which are used as assault units and are often used to identify positions or mine the territory. The occupiers conduct many so-called "meat assaults" with mobile fire groups," the Armed Forces said.
