Ministry of Defence told how many NATO standards Ukraine has already introduced

As of early July, Ukraine had introduced 324 NATO standards. In particular, in the first half of 2024, 23 new standards were adopted.

This data was shared by First Deputy Defence Minister Ivan Havrylyuk, the department’s press service reports.

“The implementation of NATO standards is provided for in the government’s Priority Action Plan for 2024. As part of the package of Ukraine-NATO Partnership Goals, our country is proposed to implement 218 Alliance standards by 2025. As of July 2024, Ukraine has already accepted 190. We are fulfilling our home task of interoperability with NATO,” he said.

In addition, on its own initiative, Ukraine introduced another 134 standards.

The implemented NATO standards relate to the operation of weapons and military equipment, the safety of storing ammunition and explosives, command and control of troops, the use of communication and information systems, the quality of goods, engineering, aviation and medical support.
