Air defence was operating in Kyiv region due to ’Shahed’ attack

On the night of Tuesday, July 16, in the Kyiv region, air defense forces and means worked against enemy bombs.

The Kyiv Regional Military Administration reports this on Telegram.

The first explosions when repelling an enemy air attack in the region became known at 3:00 a.m. on July 16.

"Kyiv region! UAVs were detected in the airspace. The air defence forces are working on targets,” the administration noted.

Residents of the region were urged to stay in shelters until the end of the air raid, and also to maintain information silence - not to record or post online the work of the defenders of the Ukrainian sky.

At about 04:30 in the Kyiv region the air raid warning was lifted.
