Poltava region police detained the kidnapper of a newborn from the perinatal center of Kremenchuk

Surveillance cameras showed a woman leaving the establishment with a large package. But investigators established that the attacker was a transsexual man.

The detainee explains his action by saying that he really wanted a child that he could never give birth to, so he resorted to crime. Everything is fine with the child, law enforcement officers returned the baby to the mother to the perinatal center.

For the crime, the 25-year-old kidnapper now faces 5 to 10 years behind bars.

The administration of the perinatal center from where the child was kidnapped will be held criminally liable for official negligence, which led to grave consequences.

Let us recall that on July 14, in Kremenchuk, the baby’s mother contacted the police with a statement that her 4-day-old baby had disappeared from the postpartum room of the perinatal center.
