CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz said the issue causing the global outage has been identified and fixed. He said the company is working with "customers affected by a defect discovered in a content update for Windows hosts" and the issue is "not related to a security incident or cyber attack."

“The problem was identified, isolated and corrected. We direct customers to the support portal for the latest updates and will continue to provide complete and ongoing updates on our website,” he said. Some airports have already reported that they have returned to normal operations (such a statement was made at Dubai Airport), while in some places the problems still continue - for example, in Rome (in the video), where some flights were canceled and passengers were forced to stand in long queues.
