The occupiers launched a missile and 8 Shaheds at Ukraine: 7 drones destroyed
On the night of July 23, the defenders of the skies of Ukraine repelled an air attack by Russia, which it carried out with an air missile and eight kamikaze drones of the Shahed-131/136 type. It was possible to neutralize seven attack drones.
The enemy hit targets in the Sumy region. The commander of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, spoke about repelling the attack.
According to him, that night the occupiers launched an X-69 guided missile across Ukraine from the airspace of the Kursk region of the Russian Federation and eight “martyrs” also from the Kursk direction.
Units of mobile fire groups of the Defence Forces and electronic warfare of the Air Force were involved in repelling the air attack. Air defense shot down seven enemy drones.
"The Sumy region is under attack... As a result of active opposition, the enemy X-69 missile did not reach its target. Thank you for your work! Together - to victory!" – added Oleschuk.
