On the night of August 9, the Defence Forces launched an attack on the Russian military airfield "Lypetsk", where Su-34, Su-35 and MiG-31 aircraft are based.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.

"Tonight, the Ukrainian Defence Forces launched a strike on the Lipetsk airfield (Lipetsk Region, Russian Federation). During the attack, warehouses with guided air bombs and a number of other objects in the area of the airfield were hit. Several ignition sources were recorded, a strong fire broke out, and multiple detonations occurred."

It is reported that the results of the strikes on the aircraft at the airfield are still being clarified.

The General Staff also reported that Ukrainian Armed Forces units launched strikes against Russian anti-aircraft missile divisions in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk Oblast.

In particular, combat work was carried out on three enemy radars: two from S-350 systems and one S-300. The precise hit and destruction of one S-350 SAM radar was confirmed.

"Information about the other two targets is still being clarified. At the same time, the cessation of operation of all three enemy radars was recorded after the strikes," the General Staff reported.
