Situation at the front: 90 combat clashes recorded over the past 24 hours
Over the past 24 hours, 90 combat clashes have been recorded on the front; Russian troops have been most active in the Pokrovsk direction, where almost a third of their offensive actions took place.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook , publishing operational information as of 08:00 on Saturday, August 10.
According to updated information, yesterday the Russian army struck the positions of the Defence Forces and populated areas of Ukraine with a total of two missiles and 91 guided aerial bombs. It also carried out more than 4,800 attacks, 170 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems.
The areas of Zarutske, Bilovody, Yunakivka, Khrapivshchyna, Vasylivka, Hlukhiv, Poloshky, Bereza, Kucherivka, Stari Vyrky, Pysarivka, Petrushivka, Mohrytsia in Sumy region were hit by enemy air strikes; Serhiivka, Toretsk, Kostiantynivka Hrodivka, Tymofiivka, Oleksandropil, Novodonetske, Vodyane, Vuhledar, Novoukrainka in Donetsk region; Gulyaypole, Novoandriivka, Kamianske in Zaporizhzhya region; Zmiivka in Kherson region.
Ukrainian aviation, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces yesterday carried out four strikes on areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment of the Russian army. They also hit four command posts, three air defense systems of the enemy, seven artillery systems, an ammunition depot and three other important objects.
Four battles took place in the Kharkiv sector. Ukrainian defence forces repelled an enemy assault near Vovchansk.
In the Kupyansk sector, two combat engagements took place, in particular near Kolisnykivka and Tabaivka.
In the Lyman sector, the enemy attacked 15 times near Makiivka, Nevsky and Serebryansky forest.
There were 11 combat engagements in the Siversky sector. Ukrainian defenders repelled Russian assaults near Bilohorivka, Verkhnekamianske, Ivan-Daryivka, Vyymka and Spirne.
In the Kramatorsk sector, nine battles took place in the areas of Stupochky, Chasovyi Yar and Ivanivske.
In the Toretsk sector, Russians attacked 14 times near Bila Hora, Diliyivka, Toretsk and New York.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 28 enemy assaults in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Zelene Pole, Hrodivka, Zhelanne, Kalynove, Oleksandrivka and Yasnobrodivka. The highest concentration of attacks was near Hrodivka and Zhelanne.
In the Kurakhove sector, Ukrainian defence forces repelled five enemy attacks near Paraskoviivka, Oleksandrivka and Kostiantynivka.
In the Vremivsk sector, the Russian army made an unsuccessful offensive towards Vodiane.
In the Orikhivsk sector, Russian troops stormed the positions of Ukrainian units near Mala Tokmachka.
The situation in the Huliaypillia and Prydniprovia sectors did not change much.
In the Volyn and Polissya directions, there were no signs of enemy offensive groups forming.
On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the enemy maintains a military presence, conducting mortar and artillery shelling of settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation.
“At the same time, our soldiers continue to actively inflict significant losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, exhausting the enemy along the entire line of combat engagement,” the General Staff said.
