Three men detained in Odesa region for attempting to escape to Moldova

Border guards of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi detachment detained three men who were trying to illegally enter Moldova.

This was reported on the State Border Service of Ukraine page on August 11. According to the State Border Service of Ukraine, three fugitives were detained on the outskirts of the village of Yaski.

"Their illegal intent was recorded by technical means of border protection. A border patrol was immediately sent out to search for the offenders, whose actions were coordinated by the drone operator," the border guards added.

As it turned out, residents of Odesa and Zaporizhzhya regions worked as cooks in one of Odesa restaurants. A native of a border settlement planned a dangerous route for his colleagues, which included passing through a thicket and fording the Dniester River.

Protocols on administrative violations under Part 2 of Article 204-1 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses (illegal crossing or attempted illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine) were drawn up against the violators, and the cases were sent to court.
