Adviser to the head of the President’s Office Mykhailo Podolyak believes that there are two ways to end the Russian Federation’s war against Ukraine. While Ukraine’s operation in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation is intended to return Russia "to an understanding of what the rules of war are."
He recalled that it was in the Kursk region that Russia concentrated troops for unpunished attacks on Ukraine.
"The Kursk region, as indeed any other border region of Russia, is the quintessence of the type of deliberately vile war that Russians always prefer. This is a war without rules of warfare," Podolyak wrote on Telegram.
He noted that the aggressor country Russia uses its territories to deploy artillery, MLRS, small air bases, and launchers for massive strikes against Ukraine.
At the same time, the Russian occupiers are confident that no one will destroy logistics and military infrastructure on their territory.
Today, Ukraine is showing that this is not the case. And that there are only two paths to ending the war and Russia returning to an understanding of what the rules of war are,” noted the adviser to the Chairman of the Public Chamber.
Podolyak emphasized that the first way is to destroy military infrastructure by ground operations. According to him, this is exactly what is in the Ukrainian forces and what is needed to protect Ukrainians in the border areas.
He named the second way to end the war as launching large-scale and regular long-range strikes deep into Russia.
"But this requires a lot of missiles and a final rejection of informal bans on using these missiles on Russian territory," Podolyak emphasized.
