Ukrainian Armed Forces Capture Russian Soldier Near Krynky, - OSGV "Tavriya"
Ukrainian defenders managed to capture a Russian soldier in the Krynky area. This is a "rare" result for this section of the front.
This was reported by the spokesman for the operational-strategic group of forces "Tavriya" Dmytro Lykhoviy on the air of the telethon.
He said that since the beginning of the day, Russian occupiers have carried out one assault on the positions of Ukrainian defenders on the islands, which are located west of Krynky in the Kherson region.
"The assault came from the direction of the Cossack Camps, it was repulsed. And during this assault, one Russian serviceman was captured," Lykhoviy noted.
According to him, the Russian turned out to be a soldier of the 28th motorized rifle regiment of the 70th motorized rifle division of the 18th combined arms army of the Russian Federation.
"It is not a common occurrence when Russian soldiers are captured on the bridgehead on the left bank of the Dnipro. Because the presence of our units there is connected with the crossing of the Dnipro, but it does happen... It will replenish the exchange fund and provide evidence of the Russian contingent, including on the left bank of the Dnipro in the Kherson region," added the speaker of the OSGV "Tavriya".
He specified that transporting a captured Russian occupier to the right bank is a difficult task, since the boats of the Ukrainian defenders are under constant drone attacks.
