Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov announced the launch of a new service on the Diya portal. We are talking about the possibility of getting married online - via video communication.
According to him, this will help simplify bureaucratic procedures for newlyweds in Ukraine. Fedorov wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
He noted that previously the marriage process required newlyweds not only to visit the Civil Registry Office to submit an application, but also to choose the date of the ceremony, the format and pay the state fee. However, a year and a half ago, the Diya portal introduced the option to submit an application for marriage online. More than 30 thousand couples have already used this service.
The new service will allow Ukrainians not only to submit an application, but also to conduct the wedding ceremony itself via video link.
"Very soon we will present online weddings - via video link in "Diya". Fasten your seat belts, it will be wow. Spend time on each other, not on bureaucracy. In sorrow and in joy, we act together," Fedorov noted.
