Rada ratified the Rome Statute

The Verkhovna Rada approved the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. 281 people’s deputies voted for the corresponding bill No. 0285.

It should be noted that since we are talking about ratification, this procedure does not require a second reading in the Rada.

According to Zheleznyak, a very difficult discussion took place in parliament during the proceedings. In addition, before the vote, people’s deputies received letters of support from the General Staff and the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence, Kyrylo Budanov.
