Ukrainian units have made minor advances near Sudzha amid ongoing operations in Kursk Oblast.
This information is provided by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
Geolocation videos released on August 22 show that Ukrainian forces have recently advanced further into southern Russkaya Konopelka (east of Sudzha).
The Russian military blogger noted that Ukrainian forces were also advancing north of Martynovka (northeast of Sudzha) along the R-200 Sudzha-Sukhodolovka highway.
Russian sources reported conflicting reports of fighting in the east of Sudzha in the area of Samoryadove and Kozyrevka, however, Ukrainian mobile groups may be operating in this region, ISW noted.
Some Russian bloggers claimed that Russian troops had retaken Spalnoye and Krupets (both southeast of Sudzha), although the situation in the region remains uncertain.
Russian bloggers also reported that Russian forces repelled a Ukrainian platoon-sized mechanized attack near Aleksandrovka (northeast of Korenevo) and re-occupied positions west of Korenevo, indicating that Ukrainian forces had recently been operating west of the town.
