The situation in the Pokrovsk direction is the most difficult, - Zelenskyy

On Friday, August 30, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Headquarters, where three main issues were considered: the academic year, energy, and the situation at the front, in particular, in the Pokrovsk direction, where the situation is the most difficult.

The head of state announced this on social networks.

"I held a meeting of Headquarters. Three main questions.

Report of Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi on the situation on the front lines – primarily in the Pokrovsk direction.

Separately, the commander-in-chief reported on the details of the operation in Kursk region, in particular, on the next replenishment of the exchange fund. This is very important for strengthening our positions in the exchange processes."

The second issue, as noted, was the preparation of schools for the school year. Zelenskyy heard reports from Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko and Minister of Education and Science Oksen Lisovyi.

"The issue of security, as well as the analysis of the construction of shelters. The government must be aware of its personal responsibility for preparing schools taking into account energy challenges," the president emphasized.

The third item on the agenda was energy. The participants of the Headquarters discussed issues of eliminating the consequences of Russian strikes and analyzing some aspects of the construction of protective structures.

It is noted that the key is to maximally strengthen work in each of these three areas.
