Situation at the front: since the beginning of the day – more than 90 clashes

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook , publishing operational information as of 16:00 on Sunday, September 1.

"The situation on the combat line remains difficult. The Ukrainian Defence Forces are making efforts to disrupt the offensive plans of the Russian aggressor and destroy its personnel and equipment," the General Staff reported.

It is noted that Russian troops continue to shell border settlements in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions.

The areas of Porozko, Dmytrivka and Vysoke suffered from enemy shelling from barrel artillery and multiple launch rocket systems.

The invaders launched nine guided missiles at Bilopillya, Velyka Pysarivka, Bunyakyne and Obody.

At the same time, the Russians do not stop bombing their territory. It has been established that today they struck the Kursk region with four guided aerial bombs.

In the Kharkiv sector, the Russian army attacked the defensive lines near Vovchansk and Liptsi four times. Three combat engagements are still ongoing. The situation remains under control of Ukrainian defenders.

In the Kupyansk sector, Russian troops stormed the positions of the Ukrainian Defence Forces four times in the vicinity of Synkivka and Hlushkivka. Two firefights are still ongoing. Ukraine’s defenders continue to hold steadfastly.

In the Lyman sector, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions ten times near Makiivka, Hrekivka, Novosadove, Nevske and Torske over the last day. Eight engagements have already ended, the rest are ongoing.

In the Northern sector, the Russians continue to look for weaknesses in the defence. Ukrainian defenders repelled five enemy attacks near Verkhnekamianske and Rozdolivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian defence forces repelled four attacks near Andriivka, Klishchiyivka and Mayske, and one attack is ongoing in the area of Markove.

In the Toretsk sector, the Russian army attacked ten times in the area of Toretsk and Nelipivka. Eight attacks were repelled by Ukrainian defenders, and two more are ongoing. Russian troops are actively using attack aircraft.

The largest number of combat engagements was recorded in the Pokrovsk sector. Since the beginning of the day, the invaders have tried 34 times to push the Ukrainian defence forces from their positions in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Zelenyi Pole, Kalynove, Hrodivka, Novohrodivka, Karlivka, Marynivka and Mykhailivka. Ukraine’s defenders are holding back the onslaught and have already repelled 27 enemy attacks, with seven battles still ongoing.

Fighting also continues near Krasnohorivka in the Kurakhove sector. According to updated information, three enemy attacks are currently underway in the area. Ukrainian defenders have already repelled 11 attacks near Kostyantynivka and Heorhiivka.

In the Vremivsk sector, Russian troops attacked five times near Vodiane, Kostiantynivka and Makarivka. The battle continues.

In the Orikhivsk sector, the Russian army did not conduct any active offensive, but is constantly shelling localities with all available weapons. Russians attacked Novoandriivka with unguided aerial missiles.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, the invaders tried to attack the Defence Forces once, but without success.
