To calculate prosecutors’ salaries, it is planned to increase the minimum subsistence level, and the funding for the prosecution office will be increased by 3.56 billion UAH.

This can be seen from the draft state budget for 2025, registered by the government (bill ¹12000).

For a long time, the budget for various years provided for a "frozen" minimum subsistence level of 1600 UAH, which was used to determine the salary of a prosecutor of a district prosecutor’s office. In particular, in 2024 it was almost half of the usual minimum subsistence level of 3028 UAH.

However, for 2025 the government still decided to revise this approach – and apply the same minimum subsistence level for prosecutors as for judges – 2102 UAH. That is, it will be less than the usual one, but still higher than in 2024.

In the draft State Budget of Ukraine for 2025, expenses for ensuring the activities of the Office of the Prosecutor General are provided in the amount of 18.15 billion UAH (of which the general fund – 18.142 billion UAH).

The specified expenditures of the general fund are planned to be directed, in particular, to:

It should be noted that in 2024, the Office of the Prosecutor General was allocated 14.578 billion UAH from the general fund and another 9 million from the special fund, totaling 14.588 billion UAH.

Thus, the funding for the prosecution office will increase by 3.56 billion UAH in 2025 from the general fund.

At the same time, the funding for the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office will increase. So, if in 2024, 203.3 million UAH was allocated for SAP, then in 2025 – almost 336 million UAH.
