Today, September 17, the Verkhovna Rada passed in its entirety bill 6490-d regarding the “reset” of customs.
The bill in second reading was supported by 260 members of parliament, reported MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
“This serves as a signal to the IMF, the World Bank, and the USA, as well as to all business associations and the public. But most importantly, it is the most positive step from our side to increase Budget revenues,” the MP wrote.
Among other things, the bill provides for a transparent competition for the position of head of the customs service, as well as the re-certification of all employees.
