In the Uzhhorod Regional Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center, there were cases of humiliation and beating of a war veteran, as reported by the victim’s daughter.
She noted that her father volunteered for the front lines in the early days of the war and sustained serious injuries. After a prolonged coma and numerous surgeries, the serviceman survived and was granted disabled status.
Afterward, he reached out to the RTRC, hoping to find any job that could benefit the state. As a result, he was denied.
As the daughter recounted, during his stay at the Uzhhorod TRC, the veteran was first subjected to humiliating insults from a conscription office official, such as "junkie, why did you come here," and then he was handcuffed and beaten, including being kicked.
The daughter also added that she has filed a report with law enforcement agencies.
