The Attorney General dismissed the scandalous Dmytro Verbytskyi from the office
Dmytro Verbytskyi, former Deputy Prosecutor General, known for having previously undisclosed assets, has been dismissed from the prosecution offices. Verbytskyi submitted a resignation letter of his own accord, which Kostin signed.
It became known on October 8 that Dmytro Verbytskyi no longer works in the prosecution, from an interview with Kostin by "Suspilne". Prior to this, on July 1, after an investigation by the "Schemes" program regarding his assets, Kostin dismissed Verbytskyi from his position and temporarily assigned his duties to other deputies, but he remained in the status of prosecutor until today. At that time, Verbytskyi had also written a resignation letter of his own accord.
On October 8, Verbytskyi submitted a resignation letter from the prosecution offices. Kostin signed it immediately. The Prosecutor General also reported that the internal investigation regarding Verbytskyi has been completed and its results have been sent to NABU. Kostin did not disclose details of what the investigation revealed.
