In Kyiv, an illegal poker club has started operating again

An illegal poker club in the heart of Kyiv, which was previously mentioned in numerous journalistic and law enforcement investigations, has resumed its operations.

This was reported by Telegraf.

The sports poker club "Khreshchatyk," located at Khreshchatyk, 18, announced its opening through its Telegram channel FullHousekyiv on September 13, 2024. Starting from September 15, the club began hosting single-table tournaments with fixed stakes, raising suspicions about the continuation of illegal cash games.

This poker club has repeatedly drawn public and law enforcement attention. In 2021, journalists from "Slidstvo.Info" uncovered details of its illegal activities, including Russian management of the establishment and hidden VIP rooms for cash games. After high-profile investigations and raids, the club ceased operations for a time, but it has reportedly resumed despite ongoing criminal cases.

In addition to tournament announcements, job search websites have posted ads for dealer-instructor positions, confirming active preparations for the club’s full-fledged operations. Notably, the ads mention the address Khreshchatyk, 18, linked with the Full House poker club network, where illegal gambling under the guise of sports poker was previously conducted.

Criminal cases against this establishment were initiated back in 2021 following the exposure of illegal casino activities. However, despite several raids and arrests, the poker club continues to operate.
