On Monday, a document was circulated on social media showing that on October 11, Oleh Lyashko was appointed commander of the unmanned systems battalion of a separate mechanized brigade within the army corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Ground Forces.
The information that Lyashko is indeed the commander of the unmanned systems battalion was confirmed by the press officer of the 63rd Brigade.

At the same time, the 11th Army Corps states that this decision is related to the fact that Lyashko has proven himself well during his two years of service in the 63rd Brigade.
"Regarding unmanned systems, he immediately began to delve deeply into their essence and their role on the battlefield, understanding their importance. During his tenure in positions related to unmanned systems, efforts were organized to repel a significant number of mechanized assaults, and hundreds of units of enemy equipment and personnel were destroyed," the statement said.
