In Ukraine, Telegram will not be completely banned

The complete ban of Telegram in Ukraine is not being considered; currently, ways to regulate its operation are being sought.

This was stated by the head of the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting, Olha Herasymiuk.

"We cannot yet speak of a complete ban. Our task now is not to prohibit, but to introduce adequate procedures for control and interaction, and we need to designate an authority in the country responsible for this. Currently, the Ministry of Digital Information has submitted the relevant bill on regulation to the European Commission for consideration," Herasymiuk explained during a telethon broadcast.

She noted that the National Council can regulate Telegram as a media, but not as a platform.
