Russian military opened fire on the residents of Selydove in the Donetsk region. Such actions constitute a war crime.

This was reported with reference to the statement by the Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets.

"Today, information was published on social networks that the Russians allegedly killed civilians in the city of Selydove. If the facts of the crime are confirmed, it will be not only a violation of human rights but also a gross violation of the laws and customs of war, the Geneva Convention on the Treatment of Prisoners of War. Those responsible must be brought to justice," Lubinets emphasized.

At the same time, he noted that he had already sent letters to international organizations: the UN and the ICRC.

"I am waiting for a response. Russia commits crimes every day in Ukraine! The aggressor must be stopped now! Criminals need to be punished immediately!" he concluded.
