Cybersecurity specialists from the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine carried out a large-scale cyberattack in Crimea. Four Russian banks, which are illegally operating, were targeted.

This was reported by the media.

As a result of a successful 24-hour DDoS attack, the functioning of the remote banking systems of several banks from the aggressor country was paralyzed. Specifically:

As a result of the cyberattack, tens of thousands of Russians were left without online access to their bank accounts.

Moreover, Russians began to massively complain about non-functioning bank mobile applications and the inability to conduct any financial transactions.

The banks themselves confirmed "the largest DDoS attack in history, which was an unexpected challenge for the bank’s team" and warned customers about the unavailability of all online banking systems.
