The situation on the Pokrovsk direction of the front remains extremely difficult. Russian occupying forces are currently concentrating their main forces towards the settlement of Vyshneve. The enemy is actively using a large number of personnel and equipment in assaults, with their main goal being the capture of Pokrovsk.
This city has significant logistical importance. This was stated by an officer of the 15th Operational Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, Vitaliy Mylovydov, on Sunday, November 3, in an interview with Ukrainian Radio. According to him, heavy fighting is also ongoing in Selydove, with the enemy initiating an assault at the end of October using significant reserves.
Currently, the main efforts of the Russian army are directed towards capturing the village of Vyshneve.

"The number of enemy groups is not decreasing; the enemy has prepared significant reserves in advance, deploying them simultaneously from several directions, preparing their footholds for advancement to the south and north. They are deploying a large number of assault groups that attempt to advance constantly—both day and night," the military officer reported.
The occupants are also actively using artillery of various calibers and electronic warfare (EW) systems, complicating the work of aerial reconnaissance units of the Defence Forces in the area concentrated by the enemy.

Additionally, the Russians are actively using FPV drones and attempting infantry assaults on the concentrations and routes of Ukrainian military advancement.
"During the past day, our unit’s positions, as well as adjacent units performing combat tasks in this direction, faced seven attempted attacks. All were successfully repelled," Mylovydov stated.
According to him, the enemy is attempting to implement their strategic objectives regarding Pokrovsk. This city, highlighted the military officer, "has significant logistical superiority."

"The enemy should be held at the existing lines. Planning for Pokrovsk needs to be postponed or not put into perspective, with all efforts focused on preventing the enemy from advancing further. Currently, maximum efforts are being made, and all available resources are being utilized to prevent this," he added.
