Zelenskyy compared Donald Trump to Reagan
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated Donald Trump on his victory in the presidential election in the USA. Additionally, he compared Trump to his predecessor and the 40th president of the USA, Ronald Reagan.
This was reported in the president’s Telegram channel.
"For us in Ukraine and throughout Europe, it was extremely important to constantly hear from the 45th President of the United States about peace through strength. And if this becomes the principle of policy for the 47th President of the United States, America and the entire world will definitely benefit," Zelenskyy emphasized.
He noted that today is truly a special day and stressed that there is only one news worldwide that is attracting all the attention.
"It’s no wonder Ronald Reagan is being mentioned so often now - people want confidence, freedom, a normal life. And for us, this is a life without Russian aggression and with a strong America, a strong Ukraine, strong allies. This year, we have already spoken with President Trump both on the phone in July and in person at a meeting in September, and these were wonderful conversations," Zelenskyy noted.
