Now soldiers in the AWOL go not individually, but in groups, reported the military psychologist from the 67th brigade Andriy Kozinchuk.
He noted that many soldiers leave their positions in the AWOL due to internal conflicts and misunderstandings with commanders, rather than political or external reasons.
At the same time, according to Kozinchuk, the military personnel "let down" the parliament by removing criminal liability for the first AWOL.
Meanwhile, this issue is also mentioned by the Economist magazine.
"An official in the Ukrainian army acknowledges that on some of the most challenging sections of the front there is a decline in morale. A source in the general staff reports that almost a fifth of the soldiers have deserted their positions," the publication writes.
