The occupiers attacked Ukraine: air defence forces destroyed 37 kamikaze drones and 4 missiles

On the night of November 13, Russia launched a new attack on Ukraine. Almost a hundred enemy aerial weapons, including missiles and drones of various types, flew towards Ukrainian cities and villages.

The air defence forces destroyed 37 Russian kamikaze drones, two cruise and two ballistic missiles, and nearly half a hundred were lost on location. Details were revealed by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The first aerial targets began approaching Ukraine at 3:00 p.m. on November 12, and the last were shot down in the morning of the 13th. The enemy used various types of missiles, guided bombs, and strike drones. A total of 96 enemy aerial threats were recorded in the airspace, including:

• 2 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles from the Kursk region towards Sumy;
• 2 X-101 cruise missiles from Tu-95MS strategic bombers, launch area — Caspian Sea;
• 2 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles, launch area — Voronezh region;
• 90 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and drones of unknown type from the areas of Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Orel.

The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile forces, aviation, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and Defence Forces of Ukraine.

As of 10:00 a.m., the downing of two Kh-101 cruise missiles, two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles, and 37 enemy UAVs in Kyiv, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Cherkasy, Zaporizhzhyaa, Chernihiv, and Kirovohrad regions was confirmed. 47 enemy drones were lost on location in various regions of Ukraine, two UAVs exited Ukraine’s airspace in the direction of Belarus and Russia. Another two drones are in the air, combat work continues!" noted the Air Forces.

Thus, over Sumy, air defenders shot down 9 Russian "Shaheds" throughout the night.

"We thank the air defense units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, and volunteers for their organized work, protection, and saved lives. Since the beginning of the year, our Air Defenders have destroyed 513 Russian drones that brought death to the Sumy region and Ukraine," stated the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

In Cherkasy, the alarm lasted almost 9 hours. During this time, as reported by the head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, Ihor Taburets, 6 Russian drones were shot down over the region. There were no consequences.
