Ukrainian defenders from the National Guard repelled one of the largest and most difficult assaults in the Siversk direction. The occupiers launched infantry, tanks, and other armored vehicles simultaneously, but did not succeed and suffered significant losses.
The video of the assault on November 13 was published by the commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, Oleksandr Pivnenko, on the official Telegram channel. According to him, the powerful attack by Russian forces was repelled by the fighters of the 3rd Operational Battalion "Svoboda" of the "Rubizh" Brigade.
"Tanks, armored vehicles, infantry – everything moved simultaneously along the line of battle confrontation in the Siversk direction. But the enemy did not succeed," Pivnenko stated.
According to him, the National Guardsmen destroyed enemy armored vehicles without losing a single position.
In contrast, the enemy suffered significant losses.
The published footage shows how the enemy brought in heavy equipment to storm Ukrainian positions but encountered a powerful resistance.
Ukrainian military hit the enemy column with powerful airstrikes. Under the fire of the National Guardsmen, Russian armored vehicles ignited and exploded on the battlefield.
Over the past day, along the entire front line, National Guard fighters destroyed eight tanks; five armored combat vehicles; seven units of automotive equipment; eight artillery systems, and three ammunition depots.
The guardsmen repelled assaults in areas of responsibility in the sectors most attacked by the occupiers.
The defenders repelled 16 assaults only in the Pokrovsk, Toretsk, and Kupyansk directions, according to the commander of the National Guard.
