Ryanair is ready to fly to Crimea again
The airline Ryanair is ready to be the first to resume flights to Crimea after the de-occupation of the peninsula, but it is necessary to ensure the safety of air connections. Meanwhile, Ukrainian authorities hope that other major international companies will join the development of the peninsula liberated from Russia.
This was stated by Tamila Tasheva, the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, at the event "Ukraine 2050. Dialogues about the Future" on November 14 announced. She recalled that last year, the largest European low-cost carrier signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Ukrainian authorities regarding the future of Crimea.
"The CEOs of Ryanair noted that after the de-occupation of Crimea, when safety is ensured, we are ready to be the first to enter Crimea, to restore air connections. This is a matter of tourism potential, so these are not just overnight stays in Crimea, as we remember them, but to attract large network structures," stated Tasheva.
However, it is still difficult to talk about the investments that may flow into the peninsula after de-occupation. According to Tasheva, it is necessary to develop infrastructure and restore safety in Crimea for this to happen.
