SRG entered the village of Hremiach: the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine refuted the statement of Putin’s propagandists

The statements by Russian propagandists about an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group entering the village of Hremiach in the Chernihiv region are not true. The Russians did indeed put up a Russian flag near the bridge over the Sudost river, but they did not cross this bridge.

The area where the Russians operated is cut off by rivers from the main territory of the region, making it impossible to set up proper fortifications – which is why the occupiers managed to place their flags there. The Ukrainian State Border Guard Service denied the Russian claims.

"The claim by Russian propagandists that a sabotage and reconnaissance group entered the village of Hremiach in the Chernihiv region is not true. The bridge over the Sudost river, near which enemy saboteurs placed a tricolor, was not crossed by them. The area from the border where the sabotage group operated is effectively cut off by rivers, and there are no inhabitants in the settlements located between the rivers and the border. Moreover, due to constant flooding, it is impossible to set up proper fortifications there," the statement read.

Russian Z-blogger Boris Rozhin was the first to claim on the morning of November 15th that Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups allegedly entered the Chernihiv region. He posted footage of a Russian tricolor near the bridge over Sudost.

According to the propagandist, the enemy army’s saboteurs visited two villages, Hremiach and Muravi. In his message, he did not hesitate to assert about a "poorly guarded border" and also mentioned that the Ukrainian command supposedly sent border guards from Chernihiv to the Kursk direction.

"Russian Armed Forces sabotage and reconnaissance groups entered a poorly guarded border into the territory of the Chernihiv region, entered the settlements of Hremiach and Muravi, and placed Russian flags there. The video shows Russian flags on the bridge over the Sudost river. The enemy drove border guards from the Chernihiv region, presumably to the meat grinder towards Kursk. The Russian command has not yet disclosed its plans for actions in the Chernihiv region," Rozhin fantasized.

This message, with the "clarification" that "there is no one to defend Chernihiv region in the Armed Forces of Ukraine" and that it was from this area that RVC fighters allegedly launched raids into Russian territory, began to spread across other Russian propaganda channels.

Meanwhile, military analyst Yan Matveev emphasized that both Russian and Ukrainian sabotage reconnaissance group raids happen constantly in the border areas. Saboteurs attempt to "hunt" border guards, attack checkpoints and strongholds. However, this activity is usually as non-public as possible. The fact that Z-channels made a significant fuss out of an ordinary episode indicates an information-psychological operation.

"This time they decided to stage a demonstrative action. Most likely to disturb the public in Ukraine. The Armed Forces and border guards understand everything and are unlikely to be shaken, but MPs and ordinary people might be outraged, put pressure on the military, and force them to pull some forces back to the border. It is probably this reaction that they aim for with such flag events," suggested Matveev.

The Ukrainian State Border Guard Service also spoke about the Russian information-psychological operation. They assured that the situation in the border areas of the Chernihiv region is under control.

"Ukrainian defence forces fully control this direction and are on the most advantageous positions to hold defence. So do not succumb to the enemy’s information-psychological influence," emphasized the State Border Guard Service.
