Round-the-clock house arrest: the court extended the preventive measure for MP Tyshchenko

The Pechersk District Court of Kyiv has extended the preventive measure of round-the-clock house arrest for Member of Parliament Mykola Tyshchenko until December 23. He is accused of illegally detaining a former serviceman in Dnipro.

This became known from the broadcast of the court session.

“The court has ordered: the petition is granted, the preventive measure of round-the-clock house arrest for Mykola Tyshchenko is extended within the framework of pre-trial investigation until December 23, 2024,” announced the investigative judge.

The decision can be appealed in the appellate court.

During the session, Tyshchenko stated that he would accept any court decision.

“But do not accuse me of something I did not do,” he added.

It should be noted that on November 14, the Pechersk court of the capital did not consider Tyshchenko’s preventive measure due to several petitions from his lawyer.

As was known earlier, Member of Parliament Mykola Tyshchenko became embroiled in a scandal due to a video showing two men in camouflage under his supervision detaining a civilian man right on the street. Tyshchenko stated that the conflict in Dnipro occurred “during searches of fraudulent bot farms.”
